So if your toddler has any scalp irritation, be it a little cradle cap to bug bites on scalp to irritation from too tight of braiding of hair, these nodes can enlarge and wax and wane in size. No: Antihistamines such as Benadryl (diphenhydramine) can cause drying of the congestion in the lungs and actually can make his asthma worse. Lots of oral fluids would be better, and start treating his asthma early if it occurs. Mucinex may help loosen the secretions, but likely won't help his wheezing. ...Read more
