Earache: Is drainage from ear or nose/throat? May be "swimmer's ear" infxn of outer canal (try otc products for that & heat to ear) or middle ear infxn or eustachian tube inflammation (for latter 2 conditions, otc decongestant like sudafed may help alleviate symptoms). If not better in couple days, or if worse, see fp/ent for exam. Remember: no q-tips in ear canals! ...Read more

Eustachian tube : The sensation of ear fullness and decreased hearing can be related to blockage of the eustachian tube (the tube that runs from your middle ear space to the back of your nose) or from fluid which has accumulated in the middle ear space. Sinusitis.: This could still be sinusitis or allergies. Especially with a sinus infection, the fluid produced can become so thick and viscous that it doesn't drain; rather, it gets stuck in the sinus chambers, causing pressure that can extend up the Eustachian tubes to the inner ears. ...Read more

Don't pop them: You could blue out the tympanic membrane so do not pop them. You could have a few issues with the eats so it is best to see your doctor for evaluation and treatment ...Read more

ENT specialist: The opinions of the two doctors are not necessarily in conflict, the ear may be clear and the eustachian tube may still be blocked. It would be prudent to consult and ENT specialist. ...Read more

Current cold etc??: There is a large lymph system/branch on either side of the neck/jaw areas and they are like the garbage collectors of the body as well as other lymph node areas in the body. They can swell or feel swollen (tight) when a patient is going through a cold or has just at a cold, allergies ets.
