Hive & rash: you have urticaria or allergic dermatitis, it is best if you see your doctor for proper diagnosis and treatment, at the mean time try an antihistamine such as Zyrtec or Benadryl, (diphenhydramine) hydrocortisone cream, but you need to find out what you are allergic to. My boyfriend got a burn on his arm an developed a rash how do we treat it?

Probably see an MD: A "rash" after a burn is suspicious for an infection, which needs to be treated with antibiotics. Otherwise it could be a dermatitis, which is treated with topical medicine. It's hard to know in a forum like this, but i would certainly get it looked at. ...Read more

My boyfriend has a rash growing underneath his left armpit and is spreading to his right one. There no lumps or anything just kind of red, and he says it burns

Hi. : Hi. I cannot diagnose the reason for the rash in your boyfriend’s underarm. What are possible reasons? Has he started using a new soap or deodorant that he might be reacting to? Is he wearing clothes that fit tight at the underarm and are causing friction? If either of these might be the culprit, stop using the new product or try wearing clothes that are looser near the armpit. Wearing clothes that are made of natural fabric like cotton may also be beneficial as it will allow for better ventilation. Good hygiene is also important. Ensure that the arm is dried off well after washing. If his rash does not improve with these suggestions, he could have a fungal infection. Because the underarm is moist, warm and does not get much air, it is the perfect place for a fungus to grow. He may need to see his doctor to be evaluated. ...Read more

Burning sensation on skin of upper arm/shoulder for 2 weeks, but nothing there, skin looks completely normal. No rashes or other symptoms. What is it?

Burning sensation on skin of upper arm/shoulder for 2 weeks, but nothing there, skin looks completely normal. No rashes or other symptoms. What is it?

Neuropathy: Sounds like a nerve problem, so we'd call it neuropathy. It can be caused by anything damaging a nerve. Shingles or herpes can do this, but if it has been going on for 2 weeks I'd expect there to be spots or bumps or something showing on the skin by now. It can also be caused by your immune system attacking the nerve or by the nerve being pinched in your spine or elsewhere. See your doc for help. ...Read more

I am a male, 81 years old. I recently experienced clear discharges from both nipples, but mostly from the left. I am also experiencing burning, itchy rashes around both nipples, on my arms, and my shins. I am getting symptomatic relief from triamcinolo

Doctor can evaluate: A doctor will have to get more of the story about the nipples, and do an exam (one can start with his primary care doctor). Nipple rashes can be from friction (from shirts, sports equipment like swimming in an inner tube, etc...), eczema, cancer, etc... Nipple discharges can be from hormonal imbalances, which may be due to hormone-producing glands, liver disease, medications, etc... ...Read more
