I have been getting sick every 2-3 weeks, this is my third time. It starts off with a headache, then i get body aches, chills, fatigue, why?
See a doctor: Make a list of each and every one of your symptoms and the sequence and timing in which they occurred. The next time you become ill take this with you to your family doctor and let them examine and test you. There is no way to do this over the internet. Could be viral: Could just be a viral illness or could a throat infection or just even a cold. If the symptoms continue past 5 days then see a physician for further work up. Do I have pneumonia? I have been sick since the third of february. I have cold like symptoms, chills, sweating, pain on the right side of my chest, for 3 days my body ached very badly (is no longer aching), shortness of breath, haven't really been coughin
Symptoms : Symptoms of pneumonia can include shortness of breath (especially when expending energy) and coughing. The cough could bring up sputum that is mixed with blood or sputum that is brown, green or yellow. Sweating with clammy skin, fatigue, fever and chills, exhaustion and vomiting can also occur. Since you are still ill after ten days, you should see your doctor. It can be hard to distinguish the flu from pneumonia but your doctor can listen to your lungs, get a good history and possibly take a chest x-ray to help with the assessment. If you only had the flu, would have expected it to have resolved already. ...Read more
I got my flu shot this year, but i've gotten sick and my symptoms include muscle aches and fever. Is it possible I have the flu?
Yes: Yes, it is possible. Ultimately the purpose for the flu shot is not to prevent the flu, rather it is to prevent you from dying from the flu or flu related illnesses. That said, the flu shot does reduce risk of getting the flu and often makes the bout less severe if you do get it. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
I've had the stomach flu for 3 days now going on for the nausea has stopped but I have very wattery dierrieha is this normal?
Stomach Flu: 3 days of a "stomach flu" are not common. I suggest you consult a physician to get stool cultures - for bacteria/parasites, giardia and if you have taken antibioitcs in the last two months a check for c. Difficile. Don't be alarmed, though, because this sort of thing is very common and highly treatable if you have any of these. Usually they come from contaminated food/water (except the c. Diff). ...Read more
My Body temperature has been abnormally low for me I usually range 98.6-99 and for the past week I have not been able to get it over 96.8. I have had a cold and a cough as well for 2 weeks. I am feeling cold and lethargic at time. I am beginning to get co
Get checked.: Persistent abnormally low temps (less than 97.6) or persistent high temps (more than 99.6) are often the sign of an infection and if you have them more than 3 days, it is wise to get evaluated and see if you need treatment. Get seen today or tomorrow. Consider a reasonably priced consult on Healthtap Prime, 24/7 which is far less expensive than an urgent care visit and often a visit with your PCP ...Read more
My body hurts but I have no fever. It's only my upper body that aches. I have no signs of a cold and this has been going on for 2 weeks.
Body Aches : A 2-week bout of upper body aching, without a fever or other obvious signs of a "cold, " could still point to a viral infection, but i would make an appointment with your doctor so he can run a number of lab tests to narrow down the cause. Be sure to tell him about any fatigue, weight loss, joint pains, and anyhting else you might have experienced that was "out of the ordinary" for you. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
I had a cold last week, fully recovered and now I have the flu. Is this normal? What do you recommend? I have body aches & sore throat.
Secondary infection: The common cold is a viral illness affecting the upper respiratory tract. It is possible to develop a secondary infection with a bacteria since your immune system is weakened from the cold and usually occurs shortly after the cold improves. Unlike a viral illness, bacterial infections are treated with antibiotics. You need to see your doctor right away to be evaluated. A viral flu is less likely. ...Read more

I have been very lethargic for 3 days and today am extremely dizzy. I missed a couple days of my Amytriptaline on the weekend but the pharmacist says that's not why. Blood pressure is 150/80 and pulse is 115. I don't feel sick otherwise. What's wrong?
Need evaluation: It is not possible to make an accurate assessment of what is wrong with the limited information you can provide on this forum. I suggest you schedule a consultation with a clinician for a full evaluation who can offer a diagnosis and treatment plan. Best wishes. ...Read more
