My Big Toe Is Partially Numb After My Sesamoidectomy 3 Weeks Ago Will The Numbness Go Away How Long Does This Take
My big toe is partially numb after my sesamoidectomy 3 weeks ago. Will the numbness go away? How long does this take?
Probably, months: Depending on what sesamoid was taken out, some nerves can get stretched or damaged. A stretched nerve will usually recover over a few months but improvement may continue for up to 18 months. A damaged nerve may recover, bit there may be some permanent numbness. Only time will tell and there is not much to do in the meantime. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

My left big toe is partially numb and it happened when I was on vacation in Europa it has been three weeks and it still numb what could it be?
Nerve issue: Sometimes tight shoes can push on a nerve and cause neuropraxia....which is temporary injury of a nerve. It can make part or area go numb. It may take several months to resolve if you get rid of the pressure on the nerve. If it doesn't improve after a month, have it checked out by a Podiatrist. ...Read more
My 18 year old son has some numbness in his big toe on his right foot. The outside of the toe is numb. It was infrequent and now is more prolonged.
May be shoe fit: This may be caused by different pressures occurring on a regular basis to the nerves that are responsible for sensation at the toe. Have him change shoes every few days and see if the situation improves. If there has been a repeated injury to the foot/toe this may also play a role. Recurrent positioning or activities should be noted, for example, hours spent in same spot or pressure on the foot. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

2yrs off & on my toes will go numb & upper thigh. Big toe will b numb for wks, now forehead is partially numb eyelid droopy, is it B12 defiency?
Get checked : You need to see a doctor. Your eyelid shouldn't be droopy. You may need to see a neurologist or to have blood tests or an MRI scan to be sure there isn't anything going on that is concerning. There are a lot of less-common medical problems that can do this and you need assessment sooner that later. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Why does my right foot keep tingling after long periods of time on my feet? Most of the time my big toe goes half numb.
My feet burn off and on for 2 months now and my left big toe has been numb long what can cause this?
Wore high heels yesterday, today big toe is numb. Could this be related? If it continues, how long do I give it before seeking medical care?
Numbness: The numbness could be related to the shoes. If the shoes are tight, they could impinge upon the small nerves of the toe and cause temporary damage. I would expect this numbness to return over the next few days as long as you can avoid tight shoes. If the numbness continues, contact a podiatrist. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Always had one leg longer than the other, past year ball of my foot on shorter leg increasingly more pain now arch pain and big toe numb. No injury?
LLD: A limb length discrepancy causes each foot to function different from the other; both abnormally. At 29, the long-standing LLD has finally become apparent. I personally like a scanogram to determine the exact difference; it gets right down to millimeters. After that, some type of orthotic device to accommodate the LLD. Maybe some back x-rays, to check for any compensation higher up. ...Read more
My left big toe goes numb and white daily. Occurs during prolonged sitting walking and exercising. So does my 3rd finger distal from knuckle on lh.
Raynoud's?: If it was just the toe, i would think microtrauma from shoes causing some nerve issues. But, given that it is happening on the hand, it could be more vascular/rheumatologic. It sounds similar to raynoud's. See if warmth helps as a starter and see your primary doctor or podiatrist. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
