Your goal is to create a comfortable sleep zone/crib where baby feels safe. It should have light so baby can always recognize the place & some comforting sound. ...Read more

Picked my new born baby up forgot to support neck and head my baby head kinda flopped back did I hurt him? Will this cause problems in the future ?

Most unlikely: If damage had been done your baby would be very unhappy particularly with head movementif baby did not cry when this occurred I think you are OK. If baby has full range of motion of his head without discomfort you have done no damage. Do not worry. However, If he seems to have tenderness with head movement see his PCPfor evaluation right away ...Read more

If baby has poor feeding, vomiting or listlessness, bring her to ER now and just tell the story exactly as it happened. ...Read more

Lay on back to sleep: At 2m your baby is still in a sids risk period for belly sleeping so it is important to start on his/her back & re-position when you find him/her prone.I would do this up to at least 4 mo at which point you can comfortably let it go.The prone creepers will bump their head but it does no harm & at this point alerts you to the bad position. Please do not invest in bumpers (linked to suffication). ...Read more

My hair has been falling out since sep 2011 . It started when i was going through hard times with family. My hair loss is in the front. Will it grow?

Maybe: Sorry i can't be any more accurate in my prediction but hair loss is very common as a result of stress, both emotional & physiologic. To be safe, tell your family doc about your concerns and check out your thyroid as an abnormal thyroid can also cause hair loss. Excess (dihydro)testosterone can do so, too. ...Read more

Do all infants lose there hair? If so when? My baby was born 2 weeks ago with a head full of hair.

No: No, not all do. No worries though, if baby does lose hair, then you will perhaps have a rough photo op month, but it will pass. This often coincides with the phenomena of infant acne, which might lead you to skip that 2 month photo altogether. My son had this terribly and lost his head full of blonde curls. We called him " crusty crab" there for a while. Congrats on your new baby! ...Read more
