Yes: Elevation will help her reflux. Rocking or movement might make it worse. If you are not noticing an increase in symptoms, there is no need to make changes. Most babies have some reflux. All the best. ...Read more

Maybe: Starting on solid foods may help your situation with ger (gastroesophageal reflus) issues. He may also need a follow up check with your pediatrician to ascertain his developmental status with this crying going on. Y my newborn baby can't sleep at nights? Can this be bc of reflux? What can i do?She coughs sometimes and today she vomited is it a cause of concern?

Could be: Babies in the first few weeks should sleep a lot (20 hours per day) so if your newborn is not sleeping then yes, I would be concerned. If your baby is under a week old it is a little early for reflux unless the baby is overfeeding. Cough can be a sign of reflux but generally I think cough in a newborn should be evaluated by a doctor sooner than later. So my advice is to see your doctor soon ...Read more

Yes it can: And most babies have reflux, they outgrow it as get bigger, you had the answer in your question: burp your baby well after feeding, if wet burps are a problem, try reflux precautions: thickening feeds, feeding smaller amounts more frequently, raising the bed 30 degrees, feeding the baby at 45 degree angle, etc, enjoy your baby ...Read more

My baby has so much mucus in his throat while a sleep dr said it's not in chest clear how can I get rid of it please i'm concerned he has silen reflux?

Clean the nose: Babies don't clear their nose very well and so the mucous can make a lot of noise. Use saline nose drops and suction out the mucous with a bulb syringe. You can do this frequently if needed, especially right before feeding or lying him down. Use a cool mist humidifier and give him extra clear fluids to drink to keep the mucous loosened as well. ...Read more

Can a 6w baby choke on spit up or reflux? She coughs after swallowing and sometimes seems to gasp for air. She clears her throat even while sleeping.

Yes: This can be a serious condition, and yes, a baby can choke from reflux material. Raise head of crib/bassinette slightly and keep upright after feeds. Also, I would suggest you ask her pediatrician about a swallow study, where they actually watch with special formula as she feeds and swallows to see if any is going into her lungs and the whole swallowing mechanism is working right. ...Read more
