That's great news!: AMAZING- if your mum's got slight movement in her hand & fingers 2 yrs. after a stroke. How long's she been moving? Just goes to show how long it can take for people to show signs of stroke recovery. However, CAUTION: Results should not be overinterpreted. Expecting any more recovery MUST be a wait & see thing.

Thromboangiitis: There is a condition called thromboangiitis obliterates, which is usually associated with smokers. It causes inflammation and clots and lack of blood flow to certain organs especially the hands and legs and can lead to gangrene. I am not saying that's what you have but be careful.
