My ankle is swollen after I badly rolled it on Tuesday, but it doesn't hurt, so can I run on it tomorrow?

Time...: Ankle injuries are very notorious for taking a long time to heal. If you are in that much pain, a full exam including x-rays should be done to rule out any fractures. You may need rest and immobilization as well depending on what is found. Have to get on ankle sprains early so they won't drag on for months. ...Read more

Do i need an X-ray even though my ankle doesn't hurt but foot is bruised and is a little swollen? I twisted it 3 days ago.

It depends: If you've been walking on it and the pain is getting better, then no but if you can't walk on it and the pain and swelling isn't going away then see a doctor for x-ray. Otherwise rest ice it elevate it and take some antiinflammatories like advil or aleve. ...Read more

Have it evaluated.: Swelling may last a long time following a foot or ankle injury. An x-ray can show if there is an underlying fracture. You may have a soft tissue injury if it is just a sprain and may have damaged the muscle, tendon, or ligaments in the area. Have it evaluated by a professional and get the appropriate treatment. An ankle brace may help support the area. ...Read more
