I'm concerned that my 8 year old daughter is overweight. How can I help her without being negative maybe causing other psychological problems. ?

Good Question!: You need to offer good food choices while simultaneously encouraging exercise and building self-esteem. First, don't have any junk food in the house. Only provide whole foods, mostly fruits and vegetables. Don't restrict. Instead offer good choices. Second, have her play at least 1 hour per day (something active).
