Go to doctor: Sounds like possible perforated eardrum, or something else. 6 yr old has stuffed nose red dots in throat earache fever 38.9 and stomachache, 3rd day of fever ear feels a little better should we start augmentin.
My 6 year old was treated for strep and ear infection on friday, feb 22 with amoxicillin. On feb 27, he had 103 degree fever. Again now too. Why?
6 year old diagnosed with strep tuesday. On 3xday liquid antibiotic. Has had 8 doses., throat, head, ear still hurts. It's friday am now. Normal?
Not unusual: I would run it by the doc that saw him tuesday, because there are rare things that could be complicating his strep throat, like an abcess, but it is not all that unusual to feel crappy for 5-7 days if he had a bad case of it. It is natures way of letting you know it is still fighting the infection and you need rest and nutrition. If still running a fever, definitely give doc a call back! ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Maybe,But....: Currently the standard of care is to take the meds for 10d.Current research is underway to see if shorter periods will work. For some kids, i suspect that 7 days may be enough, but you should follow your doctors instructions, particulary to minimize relapses. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Had linq monitor placed 1 wk ago Now coughing brwn phlegm chest pain fever Wound was draining clear liquid Can I treat at home or should I see a dr?
Unrelated: The link monitor has nothing to do with your other symptoms. Brown phlegm, chest pain and fever is very worrisome. Could be infectious (pneumonia) or potentially a blood clot in your lung. You should seek a healthcare evaluation and they can check out the wound healing from your Linq implant at the same time although that sounds more or less OK. Don't try to treat/diagnose this at home. ...Read more
My sons ear and head has been hurting , fever, and cough, he said it popped and now draining orange brown stuff and still can't hear out it?
Pus is still there: He likely had a bad ear infection that led to the rupture of his ear drum. This is allowing a partial egress of the pus from behind his ear drum, just enough to relieve the pressure. He can't hear still as there is still pus in the middle ear. He needs to get antibiotics. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
