Allergies: Have you tried anti- histaminics ( systemic) and topical steroids ( nasal). Ask your pediatrician. This combination works for most of my patients with similar issues. My 19 months old son has mucus in his stools. in december 2013 he was diagnosed mith colitis and clostridium difficile there is no blood seen.
Your question?: I don't know what your question is, but you need to take your son to your pediatrician promptly for further evaluation. C. diff has a nasty way of recurring and just because "no blood is seen" doesn't mean there's no blood in his stool. Can be normal: Mucus in the stool can be a normal variant of healthy stool. Many infections can cause mucus as well but this is usually accompanied by diarrhea. If you notice that the mucus is continuous or it is associated with blood then take your baby to their primary care provider for evaluation. ...Read more

Mucous: Children do swallow quite a bit of mucous from their nose and throat (they aren't particularly effective at blowing their nose or coughing phlegm out). This can end up in their stool as well.
