It could be either: One , it could be from working hard on the disk, computer etc, or could some thing serious for example mononuleosis, or other things.So if you feel better by resting it fine if get worse go to see your doctor. ...Read more

It sounds like you have a muscle strain, not a blood clot. Birth control pills do increase the risk for blood clots so it is important to stay active and not smoke.
