No: Someone has been reading too many medical horror stories. It is mega highly unlikely that spasms in an otherwise healthy 20 year old represent anything but overuse or electrolyte disturbance. Stretching: Don't know why tapering off Prednisone would trigger nocturnal leg cramps. Gentle yoga type stretching held for a full 2-3 minutes has helped others with chrons disease who take a lot of Prednisone and have nocturnal leg cramps. Safer than meds when done properly. ...Read more

New issue??: Spasm and spasticity are common with your type of injury. Are these new? I would suspect that they are not. We commonly use medication such as Baclofen and tizanidine.
