Possibly: Anatomically the arms receive their control of sensation from the neck. Nerves that are irritated at the level of the neck often only result in pain traveling into one arm and not both. Possibly: Yes it could, but so could other more serious issues like a pinched nerve in the neck. Even if it is a muscle spasm, the more important question is what is the cause for e spasms. Are you over working them or is it compensatory response to a more serious injury in the neck.
