Protein: Muscle milk is just a high protein shake, with vitamins, minerals. If your son gets adequate protein from food, this is probably unnecessary. An athletic 12 year old is probably eating a lot. If his diet is balanced and healthy, he is in good shape. A bit more protein will not harm your son, but I tend to be concerned about what else may be in these shakes (read ingredients carefully).
Trying to gain weight. If I drink muscle milk and don't work out, will I be able to gain about 10 lbs by March?
If you drink : Enough calories in protein but it's not balanced. Add some steamed vegetables
Oats & Milk: are carbs (which turn to sugar) but protein is needed for the possibility of gaining muscle mass. Consider a protein powder shake in the morning. Also do some light body training or see a personal trainer. Above all, like yourself and be neat, clean, and a decent person. That's more attractive than anything else. Peace and good health. Shanti.
What do you suggest if i've been sick since last year from muscle milk and I am afraid i got mad cow?
See your doctor: If you have been sick for one year, you need to uncover the cause. "Mad cow" would be causing a rapid deterioration in function, and unlikely that a year would pass allowing you to still ask this question.
