Supplements: There is no clear answer to this questions. It depends which supplements you are taking and at what dose. Another important consideration is a potential drug interaction with any other drugs you are taking. I would suggest you consult your pharmacist who has a list of all your current medications and ask him/her to screen them against any supplements that you are considering.
Why are supplements of NAC not recommended? Do they pose a threat to health? Or is it just because it is not "FDA approved"?

Non-sugary drinks: If one is truly underweight (based on height, family background, and body type), a dr. Can evaluate. If no medical cause is found, then one can add weight by eating more calories of nutritious foods, while also doing weight-training to increase muscle. Proteins: egg white, chicken breast, salmon, . .. Better fats: olive oil, peanuts, almonds, tofu, . ... Easier to eat protein; not add it to a drink.

Eat 1 gram of lean protein daily per pound that you currently weigh, and get used to being a bit hungry through most of the day. The real supplement that will help is intense exercise. Hit the aerobic circuit. You'll not only get the body you want; you'll be healthy.

There are none: Supplements are exactly what they are, supplements. The best way to lose fat and to gain muscle is to incorporate an exercise program that will work the entire body, which includes weight lifting, some kind of aerobic exercises and be consistent. The next part which is equally important is one's nutrition. Taking the proper amount of protein, carbohydrates, and fat is the answer.

Since, I am not a: Big proponent of some of these supplements; I will instead provide info about foods that can help. Eat healthy foods that are high in calories. Eat six meals per day. Work on strength training to build your large muscle groups. Work out w heavier weights w fewer repetitions. Sleep at least 8 to 9 hours/night. Hydrate well w water. Sir have used some supplements for muscle gains for 1yr and now it has been 2yrs I habe not used them. They are still in my body??
Probably not: Supplements could mean anything, and unfortunately, may include ingredients that are not on the label, or may not even have the labeled ingredients nor the labeled amounts of said ingredients. Without knowing what ingredients were taken, one can guess that "supplements" don't stay in the body for more than a few days, or at most a month or two. After 2 years, one can safely presume they are gone.
At your own risk: There really is no substitute for exercise and healthy eating. There are no "miracle" supplements that facilitate this process. Beware of the advertisements. Supplements are not regulated by the fda so there really is no guarantee that the claims are true- or that the product is manufactured according to any kind of standard. Cardiovascular activity is the most efficient was to safely lose fat.
Real, healthy food.: Supplements market to weightlifters are not regulated by the fda, are not tested like medicines, and are at best mostly useless, and at worst dangerous. A balanced diet of fruits and veg, lean protein, whole grains, and low-fat dairy will more for you than anything else. If you are trying to gain muscle, about 1.5-2.5 g/kg lean protein body weight is optimum.

Very glad that your question implies you are not going to use steroids. Every gym guy I've known who's tried them has been sorry. They make you grumpy or worse, there are real health risks, it's cheating & most women prefer natural-looking.

None: Even the much-touted ephedra is mostly a placebo. No supplement can take the place of wise eating (do you have some whey protein?) and lots of aerobic "cardio" fitness stuff.
