Problem for 6yrs. Muscle nerve pain in legs back. Hard to walk stand sit for long times. My dr says muscle degeneration. I want 2nd opinion.

Specialist: Have you seen a specialist? I am sure you would have had an MRI by now to see if there is nerve compression or stenosis. Sometimes these symptoms cannot be cured, but need to be managed. I am not sure about muscle degeneration. They may mean weakness and reduction in core stability. An EMG may help with the diagnosis. I would see a Physiatrist or Neurologist for 2nd opinion. ...Read more

NEED FOR CUSHION!: Most shoes aren't always what is bad, usually it's the crummy insoles they come with! There are many possible reasons that you may have painful feet, but try cushioning arch supports like spenco polysorb cross-trainers (http://www. Spenco. Com/products/footcare/poly-sorb). If these don't help, see a podiatrist.... Also try an otc anti-inflammatory, like aleve (naproxen). ...Read more

I had muscle loss all over body for3 years &recently found out I ve subacute degeneration spinal cord from vitam b12.Can I gain muscle by working out?

Will help: I trust that you are taking B12 by injection. It would be prudent to discuss it with your doctor, who has more information about health. In general gradual increase in physical activity is good.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form.
Practice safe sex. ...Read more

Wearing gel arch supports. But the pain still persistent in both feet just below the ball of the foot. Can this pain be caused by t7 disc degeneration?

Wearing gel arch supports. But the pain still persistent in both feet just below the ball of the foot. Can this pain be caused by t7 disc degeneration?

No: The nerves lower down can affect the feet but not t7, it is entirely possible your gel supports are not giving adequate support. There are a few "prefabricated" orthotics I recommend but most sold in pharmacies I am not a fan of. Spenco, is an adequate one. Also! Just a gel cushion may not be enough, oftentimes we recommend multiple treatments i.E icing, stretching, antiinflammatories all at once. ...Read more
