See your doctor: Your symptoms may be signs of something significantly wrong. One cannot tell without a complete history, physical and possible lab/imaging tests. Follow with your doctor as soon as you can. Things that can cause pains in chest and ribcage include heartburn, pneumonia, gallbladder problems, liver disease, kidney problems, heart attacks, or blood clots.
Pain like cramp or stitch in stomach on left side just under rib cage. 1wk ago started after going long trips in van. Now occurs more. What's the cause?
Several causes: There could be several potential causes. It could be causes by a muscle strain, costochondritis, spleen, colon, kidney, stomach, or pulmonary. If you are feeling better, it may be more of a strain. If symptoms persist, see a MD. As you where on a long van ride, I would worry about a pulmonary embolism. If your symptoms are associated with any shortness of breath, I would consult your physician ASAP
Muscle twitching arms &legs under rib cage, even butt sometimes; don't hurt ; could this be stress? Cant keep l leg still either feel need to move it
Muscle twitching: Painless twitching can be benign, sometimes happens with magnesium deficiency or problems with calcium but there are certain types of twitching that warrant a good neurological exam to sort out. Many things can be blamed on stress but usually better to look for more worrisome answer before assuming that.

Muscle cramps along inside of rib cage from stomach to collar bone. Happened a couple of times, not very severe. Something to worry about?
Probably not: If it's just been a couple times and an isolated symptom, then don't worry about it. It may be something as simple as having some gas which caused a reactionary cramp. However, if your symptoms persist or worsen or are associated with other symptoms such as GI symptoms, then do go see a physician.
Osteopathic Eval: May need to see a osteopathic physician that does manipulation to see if a rib is dislocated and he/she can offer treatment. If this does not help, it could be pathology in your thoracic spine that needs to be evaluated. Recommend seeing a pain/spine specialist.See 1 more doctor answer
Depends on cause: Depends on age, when started, how, if teenager unlikely heart unless chest pain with exertion, if older, pressure at heart area, radiating down left arm/jaw with exertion, resolves with rest could be heart call 911 to be sure not heart, if pain started at rest still could be heart. If sharp pain localized and tender point at area or associated with trauma or movement unlikely the heart.
Doctor can evaluate: On the left side are the ribs, chest muscles, the left lung, and the lining of the lung (pleura). Nearby are the esophagus, heart and arteries, lymph nodes in the armpit, etc... So, pain can originate from many places. Sometimes there is a problem in a part of the body a little farther away, but the nerves carrying the pain signals can "refer" pain to the left armpit / ribcage area.
No: But you may be experiencing pain from the gallbladder if it is rt sided.
Liver/GB: Under & below rib cage. Liver on right side, gall bladder below & to left of liver.
