Nobody knows: Because there are no studies. Any organic matter, when combusted (smoked), hookah or no hookah (the water does not purify anything, just cools it), turns into potentially carcinogenic aromatic hydrocarbons. Education & support: Nicotine replacement (gum or patch) continues the addiction to nicotine. At some point u will have to go through withdrawal. Smoking cessation programs often offer gum & patch but u can quit w just the support & education. There's also nicotine anonymous, based on the 12 steps of aa. Safer, not without: Elctric cigarettes provide nicotine, the substance that induces addiction and craving of smoking. Regular cigarettes contain many other chemical substances/preservatives, some are carcinogenic (causes cancer), thus they are worse than electric ones.
