Pls how can I help my 3 yr old reinforce his immune systems, he's taking multivit but he gets sick sooo often. ..Thank you?
Please see below.: The most important things are eating a balanced healthy diet, getting plenty of sleep, getting vaccinated, & good handwashing. Toddlers who aren't in daycare still get 6-12 viral infections yearly;if in daycare, that rate doubles to triples! If his doctor sees that he is having infections that are too many, too severe, or too unusual for his age, tests are indicated to check for underlying causes. ...Read more
Is it ok to take centrum multivit although idont have certain deficiency? I want to take it coz my diet not healthy all the time?
Yes to the MVI (multivitamin): In addition to a balance diet of Complex Carbs, Proteins (plant / animal) and Good Fats, a quality MVI (multivitamin) is an important consideration. Because our soils have been possibly over-farmed, we are losing some of the nutrient value of the produce grown. And, for that reason, along with the fact that most people eat a SAD (Standard American Diet), a MVI (multivitamin) should be added. There are better MVI (multivitamin) than Centrum. ...Read more
Headache midday until midnight. Started taking Probio in the morning, Prostate Formula and MultiVit + Iron at night. Which of the 3 causes the headache?
Time to experiment: You post this question with the expectation that doctors have a magical ability to know the answer. Why do you need these supps? Likely just a waste of money, esp: Why the prostate formula? It's worthless & you're only 25. STOP taking all 3 then restart 1 at a time & see if 1 causes headache. You don't need a doctor or scientist to tell you that; your mother can tell you that. It's common sense. ...Read more
I take 1multivitamin "A-Z Vitamine+Lutein+Q10" from Pharmavital daily for two months now. I'm also on Yaz bcp. Should I make a break from the multivit?
Vitamins: A good multivitamin is a good idea. It's like an insurance policy for when we don't eat right, don't sleep well, or are especially stressed. Go to a good store or get some guidance because the popular brands are typically very week and not helpful. The dose (read label and check that half or more of the ingredients are several 100 per cent above RDA. Dose more important than a long list. ...Read more
Recently I read in nyt that vitamin E supplements are linked to reduced life expectancy. Scary! Should we avoid e containing multivit?
Now both my derm and my GP say that a good multivit and iron will bring hair back, but I still see no signs of regrowth. Vit are ok now, ferritin 30?
Protein: I have a different approach to hair. Hair is made of proteins. Not vitamins. Making sure you are getting at a minimum 100 grams of proteins per day is vital. ...Read more
How much gap betwen antacid & B12 sublingual 1500mcg. Can we take multivit, calcium carb (500mg) same time as B12 supp? How much gap for vit c & b12?
Wouldn't take: antacid at the same time you are taking your supplements b/c you are reducing UR stomach acidity further that you need that to digest or help your MVI (multivitamin) get absorbed better. B12 can be taken alone sublingual. It's not digested. You can take it along with your MVI (multivitamin), and Vitamin C. Space your calcium tablet separately as it can act like an antacid itself (Tums?) Greens can interfere with Ca absorption. ...Read more

Odd advice: For diagnosed prostate cancer treatment choices cover close observation to surgery or radiation to hormonal therapy or combinations of these. A multivit is not on the plan. That said, most men with PC should consider in addiition to std care a vit d dose (based on blood level), omega-3s, and calcium. Find more at www. Prostateforum. Com also or www. Tuckermedical. There are none...: Even the strongest opiates only "take the edge off" for people in chronic pain. Meds are only one part of dealing with the pain. A useful tool, but pain is so necessary for survival that we are not "allowed" to monkey with it much. In acute pain, the transition from miserable to less miserable can be great. In chronic pain, it's just part of the plan. ...Read more

Applies to skin: Topical just refers to how a medication is applied. In this case to the skin and is meant to treat local skin problems. RSD, or: Complex regional pain syndrome can be difficult to treat and each patient needs to be treated differently. Opioid medications are definitely not the first option.
