Multiple Pregnancy H Cg Levels
Dx with pcos. Have had a normal period for over a year now, but am now two months late. Experiencing multiple pregnancy symptoms but got negative test result. Is it possible my hCG levels are too low to read bc of pcos?
Possible: It is always possible that you may be pregnant when you miss a period. Because you have pcos, it's hard to know if you are pregnant or simply skipping periods. Symptoms of pcos can mimic symptoms of pregnancy as well. If the tests have been negative it is unlikely that you're pregnant. Blood pregnancy tests are more sensitive than urine and can help alleviate your concerns. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Hormonal imbalance: Did you have unprotected sex? Did you miss a period? If the answer to both is no, you are not pregnant. HCG level of 1 at more than one day after a missed period generally rules out pregnancy. Menstrual irregularities are not uncommon and anovulatory cycle is a common cause. If you miss more than two periods it would be time to see your doctor. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time. You may consider implanted contraceptive or an IUD. HCG level at 179 from 142 in 72 hours. Very concerned for my pregnancy... they don't want to do another level until a week. Why wait that long?
What is the basic HCG level? Is it possible for hCG of 1.6 at 4d after 5d transfer of a Frozen embyo to still develop into pregnancy?
Hcg: most labs don't consider your serum hcg to be positive until it is 5 or higher, though I have seen a lab or two that claim less than 2 is negative. Repeat your hcg in another week or so as levels vary on how they rise. ...Read more
