When I feel the need to poop only bloody mucus comes out. And when I do poo it's narrow. Also feel gassy and nausea
Proctitis? Colitis?: You have some sort of serious inflammation of the rectum (proctitis) or colon i.e. lower intestine (colitis). Most likely inflammatory bowel disease, including conditons called ulcerative colitis or Crohn's disease. Or certain infections, including STDs If you've had anal sex. Should get evaulated: Being a 26 y/o female, it is likely that you have irritable bowel syndrome and with the frequent loose stools can cause significant anal/perianal irritation, at times bleeding from it. If you have been having symptoms for yrs, ibs is likley. If this is new, something else maybe causing your symptoms such as ulcerative colitis etc..I recommend consulting your doc for an eval. Not likely: It is very unlikely that you have colon cancer. But if you have anemia and bleed on passing stool, you must see your doctor for an evaluation. It may be as simple as taking a fiber laxative to soften the stool and taking iron supplement to correct iron deficiency. Generous (64+ oz/day) fluid (water) intake is most important, as is including fiber in your diet (particularly whole grains), & daily exercise. Hemorrhoids.: You likely have hemorrhoids or a fissure and that is causing the burning and blood when wiping. Constipation will worsen this.
