Medication question: They can be taken together.Get a more detailed answer ›
Last night I took 2 Claritin D, 2 Musinex DM and the walGreens brand of Musinex. This morning my stomach has been hurting really bad.
Virus and too much:
Medication. The stomach ache may be from a viral infection and just as likely from taking too many medications. Stop the medications, get some chicken soup and hopefully you will be better soon.

I've taken 3 doses of mucinex (guaifenesin) sinus max severe congestion relief today I'm over due for my next dose. Can I take Claritin -D instead now?
Yes: A good idea for self-medicating cold/sinus symptoms is to list your symptoms and present the list to the pharmacist who can guide you through the litany of options. Dextromethorphan has never been shown in studies to relieve any symptom of colds, flu, allergies, bronchitis or pneumonia, including cough, and can be dangerous in high doses.
If you have thick mucous, use PLAIN guafenesin (Mucinex). If you have nausea or a cough use PLAIN phenergan, or (for cough) phenergan + codeine or hydrocodone (but you will need an rx for phenergan + anything).

Tonight I had 2 beers. It was two hours ago that I had my last one and I've also had two bottles of water. Can I safely take my mucinex DM?

Good that you asked, and good that you drank lot of plain water to flush your system, good luck ...Read more
