Is mucinex (guaifenesin) sinus (new) better to use then Mucinex (guaifenesin) D (orange)?

Is mucinex (guaifenesin) sinus (new) better to use then Mucinex (guaifenesin) D (orange)?

Different: Mucinex D contains Guaifenesin 600mg (for cough) and Pseudoephedrine 60mg, while Mucinex Sinus Max Day has Guaifenesin 200mg, Phenylephrine 5mg, and Tylenol (acetaminophen) 325mg. I generally recommend Pseudoephedrine over Phenylephrine for nasal congestion so my personal preference would be Mucinex D. But if you have a fever or pain, Mucinex Sinus Max would be good if you don't want to take Tylenol (acetaminophen) separately. ...Read more

Can i take mucinex (guaifenesin) sinus max day and allegra d together?

Can i take mucinex (guaifenesin) sinus max day and allegra d together?

Probably not: I couldn't find the exact ingredients in mucinex (guaifenesin) sinus max but presume it does contain pseudoephedrine as well. When you take Allegra D, you are getting this ingredient as well and may end up with elevated BP, faster heart rate, and /or insomnia. If it does not contain a decongestant, it would be ok. ...Read more

Is Mucinex (guaifenesin) d safe to take daily?

Is Mucinex (guaifenesin) d safe to take daily?

Mucinex (guaifenesin) D: Hello, i often hear the very same question regarding daily decongestant usage. My opinion is that i would rather my patients use an intranasal steroid daily with plain Mucinex (guaifenesin) as needed. The pseudo fed used in the Mucinex (guaifenesin) d will cause an elevated heart rate, blood pressure changes, sleep cycle interruptions and finally it may cause urinary retention in men.So avoid the daily use of pseudo fed. ...Read more

Does Mucinex (guaifenesin) d have acetaminophen? Can you take Coricidin after you've taken Mucinex (guaifenesin) d

Does Mucinex (guaifenesin) d have acetaminophen? Can you take Coricidin after you've taken Mucinex (guaifenesin) d

Mucinex (guaifenesin) DM?: Mucinex dm is guaifenesin, a mucolytic with dextromethorphan used as cough suppressant. Why the combination beats me, lol. Coricidin will be an antihistamine and if with a d will be a decongestant like a pseudoephedrin. These are all different medicines that can be mixed to treat both secretions from the lungs, and the nose and sinuses. So the answer is yes, they can be mixed. ...Read more
