What are the side effects of flex a min triple strength vitamin Flex-A-Min Glucosamine Chondroitin Msm Tablets Triple Strength?
Is taking joint supplements containing glucosamine, MSM, chondroitin harmful or has any side effects in any way, especially on the kidney or liver?
No way to tell: Unfortunately, dietary supplements are regulated as foods (as opposed to drugs). As such, they are not required to undergo the same testing (or prove their claims to be true). Also, since no third party testing of their product is required - the ingredients listed don't even have to match what is in the bottle. Wish I had a better answer. .. Good luck! ...Read more

Tolerance/withdrawal: Alprazolam (brand name xanax (alprazolam)) is a short-acting, non-sedating tranquilizer that is quite habit-forming. Depending on dosage & duration of use, it may need to be decreased very gradually over weeks or even longer. Sometimes xanax (alprazolam) is replaced with a similar drug that is easier to stop. This is best discussed with the prescribing doctor, who may also offer other remedies for the insomnia. ...Read more

Is it okay to mix ambien and benadyrl to treat insomnia? I took benadryl (diphenhydramine) around 4hrs after taking ambien bc it didn't work, are there side effects?
No don't mix drugs: Please don't mix ambien with benadryl (diphenhydramine). I would first suggest you speak with your doctor who prescribed you ambien and him/her that you are still experiencing insomnia. Already at half dose: If you're taking 0.25 twice weekly and your prolactin is 5, it couldn't have been very elevated to begin with as you're still on the starting dose. You might talk w/your doctor about stopping it and rechecking the prolactin level to see if rx is still required. If it is, try an even lower dose as your level seems easy to control. ...Read more

Can lutein or zeaxanthin cause side effects such as insomnia, tiredness, dizziness, or constiipation? I want to take it to improve my vision.
No, however...: Lutein and Zeaxanthin are carotenoids naturally found in fruits and vegetables and do not have any side effects, but they may be in capsules that have additives or preservatives some may react to, so I advise companies like Pure Encapsulations and Thorne that don't use those.
