Get it evaluated: It may help to get an ACE wrap to provide more support and to rest your arm on pillows with a bag of frozen vegetables over the area. Follow the acronym RICE stands for rest, ice, compression and elevation. An anti inflammatory such as Motrin or aleve (naproxen) may help. Instability?: Have you injured it? Weakness of the muscles, laxity of the tendons and ligaments or bone spurs can all cause a "popping" sound while moving your wrist. Try some warm compresses and an anti-inflammatory like motrin or aleve (naproxen) for a few days and hopefully the discomfort will go away.
