Down on hands and knees installing flooring. Left hand/ wrist are swollen, pinky finger and palm numb, hand weak, can't open hand completely.

Compression of nerve: which will hopefully be temporary. The usual position for a person installing flooring is to support your weight on your extended wrists. This compresses/stretches the nerves as they travel in your wrist to your hand. What you describe is serious, though. But if you stop injuring it, it should improve in a few hours...up to a day or so. Splint it. If it persists longer than 12-24 hours, go to ER ...Read more

I have a pulling pain between the thumb knuckle and the wrist when opening safety gates, jars etc working hand movements ?

Inflammation: It sounds like inflammation of the tendon...did you injure it in some way? Have it seen by your doctor if it persists. In the meantime there are some simple things that may help. Homeopathic Arnica, Rhus tox and Bryonia (all three at same time) can help with the pain. Stopping gluten can also help...over time..that is not a quick fix. I have great success with Traditional Chinese medicine as well ...Read more

Question about hand numbness and inability to move your index finger?

Could be your neck: A bulging disc in your neck could be pinching the nerve to your finger. When numbness and pain strike the same area, the problem is often more central. Heavinees in arm from shoulder to hand. Clean ncs around hand/wrist and clean emg from deltoid to hand muscles. Arm still strong just heavy feeling?
