Movement Of Food From The Current Siphon Through The Digestive System Of The Clam
I feel I have a very bad digestive system, I take too long in he toilet every morning, I often get bloated, I gym 6 times a week, but I still can't smoothen my bowel movements. This has been going on for years.
Digestive system. Bowel movements are inconsistent. Many times fluidly. Had a colonoscopy 4 years ago everything good. Dr. Said it was my diet. ?
So for about 1.5 years I've noticed a change in my digestive health, where it has a strong odor no matter what I do.. I've seen a primary doctor twice.. And I've seen a Gastro doc. The gastro doc says its perfectly normal to have multiple bowel movements
Strong odor: the odor of stool is strong. That is normal. It is normal to have several BM's a day. We have what is called a gastric colic reflex that encourages to defecate after meals. This is from ancient times when we were often chased or did the chasing to get our meals. We emptied our bowels to be lighter and swifter. This reflex is stronger in some people. The GI doc is correct. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Variable: Amount of time between eating food and processing entirely to defecation varies between people a lot. It takes 6-8 hours for food to through stomach and small intestine. From there it goes to large intestine for more digestion, absorption of water, and then elimination of waste. Studies have shown between 33 - 53 hours total. Kids might be faster than adults -- and medications can affect it too. ...Read more
Food route: chew in mouth, stomach mixes and meters out into duodenum and then into small intestine for absorption. The residual makes it into the right part of the colon within an hour or less in most people. then over the next 1-4 days it slowly moves toward the rectum where it is slowly dehydrated (no digestion takes place in the colon, except bacterial degradation), eventually expelled ...Read more

What could cause food to pass through the digestive system in 3-4hours usually with a greenish or yellow/orange color looking partly undigested?
"Cure" for diarrhea: First define the problem (do you have soft or frequent stool?), circumstances under which diarrhea developed (malabsorption, pancreatic maldigestion, food intolerances, stressful times, exposure to ill individuals, food poisoning, ischemic gut, inflammatory colitis, etc.), severity (stool volume, dehydration, blood, night-time awakening, weight loss), ; duration. The "cure" depends on diagnosis. ...Read more
Parts of GI system: The GI system start with the mouth and teeth. This is where digestion begins. The food is the swallowed and taken to the stomach via the esophagus. In the stomach food is exposed to acid and mechanical grinding. Food then passes into the duodenum, jejunum and ileum where nutrients are absorbed. The liquid then enters the colon where water is absorbed and then out through the anus. ...Read more

Whole food in your stools (bowel movements), such as corn, raisins, etc are relatively common if you don't chew your food completely. This is not necessarily a bad sign. If you are having lots of undigested food in your stool, particularly if it's running quickly through your body, may be other issues. ...Read more

Following a meal,: Transit time through the small intestine is anywhere from 45 minute to 90 minutes; then transit time through the colon normally is 24-36 hours. I've been getting constipated lately. What are some foods and drinks that help the digestive system.
Diet and exercise: Both diet and exercise are important for bowel function. I suggest you get guidance for that type of approach from a functional nutritionist.
