It can also be an early sign of more serious problems such as autoimmune diseaseslike rheumatoid arthritis or sjogren's disease. Address the causes (high acid, hiatal hernia, apnea) with rx and nutrition guides from your pcp and see dentist to support the chemistry needed to improve acid resistance of your teeth. Your condition, called angioedema, can be secondary to medications, or acquired from an underlying disease, or hereditary if you have members of the family with same symptoms, or idiopathic, which is an unknown cause. Possible sinus: You could have a sinus drip which can cause that sour taste in the back of your throat. When you brush your teeth or eat you are flushing the mucous out of that space behind your tongue. I don't know if you have any other symptoms, but you may want to have your physician check for possible sinus congestion or infection. ...Read more

Burnt tongue: Sounds like a possible allergic reaction. A otc antihistamine may work if no change you will need to see you dentist for further evaluation. If swelling occurs go to emergency room to address possible airway restriction and managment . Side effect from prescription medication could also be a cause.
