I did 4th Generation HIV test after around 4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,14,15 weeks of an exposure.
Is this 100% conclusive? can i get back safely to my wife
Sero-conversion: The whole concept of delayed sero-conversion dates back to old & sloppy tests. PCR testing now will show virus in the blood with or without antibodies. If you need to cling to the old adages...at 6 months..99.99% of the population will have developed antibodies after an exposure..thus the 6 month window. I believe a colleague of mine Lyssette Cardona, MD is in Dubai..she's one of the best!! ...Read more

Further HIV issues: Hi i would advise to re-read my last note. I just wanted to add that in the future if there is an accident or high risk exposure you can prevent infection if you act within 72 hours. This is call pep, post exposure prophylaxis. It consists of being put on an HIV medication combination for a month. The prevention technique is very successful. Never wait to ask for help if you get exposed again. ...Read more
In oraquick HIV test, is there a way to not have to put swab device in mouth to collect saliva? I'd rather collect with my finger & put it on device.

No risk, don't worry: There has never been a case of HIV or any STD that was transmitted in a clinic or doctor's office, or that resulted from being tested for HIV. Although of course the health worker should not handle garbage and then touch patients, HIV and STDs are not the kinds of infections that would result. Don't worry about it. ...Read more

I had some symptoms like lymph nods or a kind of herpes on my mouth , my HIV test was negativ after more than 6 month of the risk but I am afraid?
HIV negative: Without knowing exactly what tests were run it is difficult to say for certain, but the overwhelming chance is that you are HIV negative. The lesson is obvious. Only protected sex and only with individuals you "know" well. You can never be sure of honesty when it comes to sex, money, politics and life. Appreciate your concern but think you can relax. Be well. ...Read more
I received blowjob from an unknown status of male. After 2 months, I am regularly facing mouth ulcer problem. My HIV test was negtive. What should I do?
Had protected sex with 2 women last year.Did an HIV test both duo combo and PCR and they where all Negative. But my body feels hot, always having flu and bumps in the mouth that are some times filled with blood or fluid.Always come one by one.
Negative HIV test after 27 days exposure. I use condom, but my mouth and finger touch sex worker virginal liquid. So any change HIV test second time?
The question is?: I'm not sure of your question, but it sounds like you may have come into contact with the HIV virus. Your blood test at 27 days after exposure was negative and you want to know what to do now? You should check an HIV test at 6 weeks and 6 months after exposure. If both are negative, you are 'good to go.' between now and the 6 month mark you should act like you have HIV - so you don't pass it. ...Read more
