Need more info: Group b streptococci are common vaginally as colonizers, and the only issues that arise are if your wife is pregnant. It then creates a risk for the baby. If you are not symptomatic your penis was probably colonized by the organism in your wife's vagina. It is possible, but not absolute, that the antibiotics you are taking will eliminate this, but unless you are ill there is no reason to treat. ...Read more

Taking any antibiotics can alter the normal microbes in your vagina killing some and causing others to overgrow. BV is normal flora which could overgrow if the normal lactobacillus is killed but it is more likely to result in a yeast infection. Perhaps you should try nasal saline.
