Most Accurate Ovulation Calculator Online
I'm using an online ovulation calculator to track my ovulation, but I'm still not pregnant (5mths). Are they accurate? Any suggestions on other ways?
Seek consultation: If one's menstrual cycles are not regular, unlikely that an online ovulation calendar will be accurate. Probably a good idea to keep a menstrual calendar for a few cycles and if not pregnant, seek consultation with gyn (bring menstrual calendar) for a basic infertility evaluation, which normally would include assessment of ovulatory or anovulatory cycles. ...Read more
Not accurate: Online calculators make lots of assumption. First they assume that you ovulate, which is not the case for all women. Then they either assume that your periods are exactly 28 days apart or that you ovulate exactly 14 days before your next period. A better way is to use over the counter ovulation prediction kits which will help you know when exactly you are ovulating and time intercourse ...Read more
Varies: Depends how accurate your due date estimates are. If you have a super-reliable dating then the reverse calculation is "pretty good, " like within 3-4 days. If your EDD is +/- 2 weeks as it often is, then the reverse calculation will be not useful. Good wishes. ...Read more

Those kinds of calculators are only as good as the information you give them. If you feel you are ovulating now, then have intercourse, and see if it happens. If not, then you have another piece of information to give the calculator next month.
However, you need to be taking prenatal vitamins starting now, in any event. ...Read more
I used a ovulation calculator online and it said that my most fertile days were between the 11th-16th. I had sex on the 16th. Can I still be pregnant?
Guessing: Are you really asking us to guess? What did the pregnancy test say? All answers to your question will depend on whether the pregnancy test is positive or negative. Doctors never guess when it comes to pregnancy. ...Read more
You don't: Calculators make assumptions that everybody ovulates and that everybody has periods every month. However, this may not necessarily be the case. Calculator will just give you an ovulation date 2 weeks prior to your menses. To be certain that you actually ovulate, you should purchase an OPK and use it as directed, generally start testing ~ day 10 if you have regular periods. ...Read more

I have two ovulation-calculator apps, it said. Different answers. One it said last week on 4/15 and the other one it said today 4/20. Confusing, help?
Dates: On a normal cycle your ovulation is 14 days before your next period. But since you can't foretell the future, this is of little help. You might have 11-17 days from the beginning of your period until ovulation. After ovulation it is always 14 days to your period. The apps have to assume a 25 day cycle or a 28 day or a 31 day cycle - thus the difference. ...Read more

You can learn: There are a few ways to help: basal body temperature charting, monitoring your vaginal mucus patterns, strictly monitoring your periods to calculate most likely ovulation time, using urine test strips for luteinizing hormone. Combining at least three of these and carefully keeping your records for at least 6-12 months can help you to best predict the most likely time to get pregnant. ...Read more

If you are concerned about being pregnant, do a home pregnancy test. If the result is negative repeat the test 4-5 days later unless you get a period by then. Use first morning urine and follow the instructions for the test carefully.
If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time, every time. You may consider implanted contraceptive, or IUD.
Practice safe sex. ...Read more
I use the ovulating calendar and calculator and my menstrual Calendar and they all say 11/5-11/10 and my ovulating date is 11/8 is it correct?
An approximation: That date is only an approximation. Actual ovulation could happen any time during your fertile window. If you want to be more precise, you should buy an ovulation predictor kit at the drug-store. You can check each morning of your fertile window to see if you are likely to ovulate in the next 12-24 hours. Ideally, if you want conception, you should have intercourse BEFORE you ovulate. ...Read more
I had sex yesterday night after 12am that means on 23/3/2014.Ii found my ovulation date is 24th using a ovulation calculator. Is there any chance?
My last cycle was on Jan 26.based on ovulation calculator I was fertile from Feb 6 to Feb 11. My ovulation day was Feb 9th. Had sex 2-11.Could I be pg?
Maybe...: A urine pregnancy test done correctly gives a reliable result 3 weeks after sex (3 weeks after when conception might have happened) or 1 week after missing a period. If done sooner, a positive result is likely real, but a negative result may be due to testing too soon, and therefore lead to a repeat test. If a woman has her normal regular period, then she is not pregnant, and a test is not needed. ...Read more
Why is my period late? My husband and I are trying to conceive. I have been keeping track of my cycle and according to an ovulation calculator I was supposed to ovulate around the 4th of october. My period was supposed to start on monday the 17th. It is n
Unless you took an early prediction home pregnancy test, it may have been too early to get a positive result. If you still have not had a period yet, then you are one week late today, and you can re-test today.
If the result is negative or the line is very faint (the line that predicts pregnancy) you can always request a blood pregnancy test be done by your doctor.
As far as the pains you were having, it is very difficult to say what they represented. The fact that it lasted only an hour and has resolved is reassuring. If the pain returns or your period starts and it's heavier than normal with pain or cramping out of the ordinary you should visit your doctor.
Good luck. ...Read more

I have irregular periods (at the longest 32 days) I used an ovulation calculator and it said I may not be ovulating. How would I know?
You may not, yet: Many and perhaps most girls and women do not know if or when ovulation occurs unless they experience "ovulation pains", learn how to check their cervical mucus secretions, record their basal body temperature regularly...or use ovulation calculators and kits. A Gyn consultation may help you answer your concerns. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
