Mosquito Bites Delayed Reaction
Yes: As is usully the case with condtions like malaria.
I have just returned from corfu. I had mosquito bites, not itchy little red dots. Now I started with white lumps, itchy, now red, delayed reaction? Tia
It's possible. ..: ...but I think you first have to question whether the "itchy little red dots" were actually mosquito bites. Other kinds of bug bites, heat rash (miliaria) or even swimmer's itch caused by an allergic reaction to a waterborne parasite can produce red or white bumps. Use OTC cortisone cream for a day or two. If rash is progressing/not improving, seek medical eval. Good wishes:)See 1 more doctor answer
You haven't: Described the reaction. Please share more info and re-ask. Thanks.
Mosquito bites.: If you have problems w generalized welts, swelling of tongue, lips, airway - you should get urgent medical care. Localized swelling ; itching - oral benadryl (diphenhydramine). Store aloe vera gel in refrigerator ; apply to affected area. Rub basil leaf on bite. It repels mosquitoes ; has anti-inflammatory properties. You can mix 2 parts baking soda w 1 part water. Stir into paste ; place it over the mosquito.
Depends: If your talking about the mosquito getting a rash after he bites you its hard to see. Look through a magnifying glass at his chest and proboscus area. Usually they fly away before you can find a tiny magnifying glass. As for the situation of a rash on you from the mosquito. It looks red, bumpy and is itchy.
When feeling itchy from a mosquito bite means you were just bitten, or the bump reaction takes 2-14 days to appear? Can't tell when I'm getting bit
Usually just bitten: A person can notice a mosquito bite right away, or within a few minutes. If she is asleep, it may take longer to notice. If bitten while sleeping, she should notice the bite upon waking up. A new mosquito bite should be visibly growing in size on the skin surface during the first couple of hours.
What is the yellow fluid/crust that appears after a mosquito bite? Only in the last year has this been my skin's reaction to bites.
Your plasma!: This is not uncommon, but the blood vessels around the bite leak plasma!
Dark patch of skin left on mosquito bite areas >2 months after allergic reaction to mosquito bite was over. Never had this before?
Post inflammatory: Post inflammatory hyperpigmentation is a common and normal response during the healing process. When traumatized skin heals, redness, followed by dark discoloration often occurs. With time, the site will usually resume normal coloration to match the surrounding skin. Topical steroid creams applied initially can help reduce inflammation and prevent excessive discoloration.See 1 more doctor answer
Is this an alergic reaction? I have thease ichy bumps all over my body. They look kind of like mosquito bites but they are everywhere.
Could be: Sounds like it is a reaction to something. If they have persisted for sometime or are getting worse see an allergist or a dermatologist.
Probably.: Allergy to proteins in mosquito saliva is common but immunotherapy (allergy injections) is neither effective nor necessary. With continued exposure almost everyone develops tolerance to mosquitoes in their locale. When they go elsewhere they're bitten by other mosquitoes & often reactions reappear. This is why mosquitoes only seem to bite tourists & not natives. All are bitten; only newbies notice.See 2 more doctor answers

Mosquito bite 3 days ago. Bruising present; never had reaction before. Headaches and diarrhea followed. Consistent for 3 days now.?
Just a thought: But the appearance of the bite (eg bruising) is NOT typical of a mosquito bite and Springfield Mass NOT a place with any REPORTED mosquito borne illness thus far this season (I am in Massachusetts) Sounds more like a SPIDER Bite with a reaction to the toxin. ....some pretty "powerful" spiders exist in Western MA. Hope this helps See ILLUSTRATION DRZ
Am I having an allergic reaction to mosquito bites? What do I do? Its itchy, looks puffy but not too swollen, looks like a burn. Benadril doesn't help
Allergic 2 mosquito?: Some have large local reactions to mosquito bites. Try soaking in cool water bath with domeboro's powder (follow box-directions), then apply an otc Hydrocortisone preparation (usually 0.5 - 1%). If no change after 1-2 days, go see a doctor. Benadryl (diphenhydramine) only helps the itch.See 1 more doctor answer
