One red line (mean negative according to test) on pregnancy test with a clear-transparent line. I had used first morning pee in the 3 min. Am I preg?

Taking a pregnancy test 29 days after unprotected sex. Will the test pick up the pregnancy hormone? I plan on taking it with the first morning pee.

Taking a pregnancy test 29 days after unprotected sex. Will the test pick up the pregnancy hormone? I plan on taking it with the first morning pee.

Depends: Hi. It depends on when the unprotected sex was relative to your LMP. In general, you only do the pregnancy test after you've missed an expected period. For instance, if your unprotected sex was a couple weeks after your LMP, and now it's been 29 days since the sex, then by now you would have expected a period a couple weeks ago (assuming normal, regular cycle); if you missed it, the test will tell ...Read more

My daughter has taken 3 home pregnancy test that were positive with her morning urine well late last night we went to the hospital and she was barely able to pee but the test came back neg then she took another test this morning and got a bright positi

All test aren't equal: It sounds like she is likely pregnant- the more days that pass- the more likely the test will be positive- a quantitative b-hcg will give the real answer. These can be followed by her pcp or ob/gyn. Very early pregnancy can cause false negative test. So depending on what your hoping for- cross your fingers and go see the doctor. ...Read more

Negative hpt after 42 days since last intercourse. Used first morning pee. Missed period for 1 week. I have 30 days cycle. Chances of pregnancy?

Negative hpt after 42 days since last intercourse. Used first morning pee. Missed period for 1 week. I have 30 days cycle. Chances of pregnancy?

Pregnancy unlikely: Home pregnancy tests are very accurate and not affected by foods, herbs, common illnesses, sexually transmitted diseases, vaginal spotting, or medications. A test gives a reliable result 3 weeks after sex (3 weeks after when conception might have happened) or 1 week after missing a period. If done sooner, a negative result may be due to testing too early such as less than 2 weeks after conception. ...Read more

Is it necesšary to take the pregnancy test at home with the early morning urine or is any of the day fine?

No Random urine OK: A random urine sample can be used for testing because HCG production is not circadian, and a low urine specific gravity does not appear to alter the sensitivity of detecting hcg, unless the test used has a high threshold for HCG positivity or the urine specimen is extremely dilute. ...Read more

Would I get an inaccurate result if I took a pregnancy test in the middle of the day rather than first urination in the morning?

Would I get an inaccurate result if I took a pregnancy test in the middle of the day rather than first urination in the morning?

Probably not: Finding out if you're pregnant is a life changing thing. Please follow the instructions that come with the test. That way you are more certain to have an accurate result. I think in your scenario it could be falsely negative very early in pregnancy. May delay you're finding out by several days or so, probably not more than that. ...Read more

I took a first response pregnancy test about almost 4 weeks after sex. Came up negative. Is this a trustful reading? Used morning urine.

I took a first response pregnancy test about almost 4 weeks after sex. Came up negative. Is this a trustful reading? Used morning urine.

Yes: A urine pregnancy test done correctly gives a reliable result 3 weeks after sex (3 weeks after when conception might have happened) or 1 week after missing a period. If done sooner, a positive result is likely real, but a negative result may be due to testing too soon, and therefore lead to a repeat test. If a woman has her normal regular period, then she is not pregnant, and a test is not needed. ...Read more

I'm having pregnancy symptoms but I went to the doctors and the urine test was negative but everyday when I get up in the morning before I eat it grows?

What grows?: If you did the test correctly and did it 4-5 days after a missed period, you are unlikely to be pregnant. You may wish to repeat the test is you are 7-10 past the day you expected your period. Use first morning urine and follow the instructions for the test carefully.
If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time, every time. You may consider implanted contraceptive, or IUD.
