I suffer from heartburn but recently after I eat I get a burning sensation in my lower stomach it starts at the left of the abdomen and moves in the middle all the way up to my inner chest area?

Chest pain after mea: If it is mostly related to meals, and not when not after a meal, then mostly a case of reflux from the stomach back up into the esophagus. The esophagus is not made by nature to tolerate acid as food is not supposed to back up into it. Acid in the esophagus burns the esophagus. Possibly: Only way to truly know if you have strep is get your throat swabbed and cultured by physician or nurse. Can go to primary care or urgent care. Htn in 17 yo should be investigated to rule out secondary causes of HTN (like renovascular causes, hormonal causes). See ans: If "chest burning pain with heartburn" started after you began Zoloft (sertraline), (sertraline) this could be some sort of side effect. Discuss lowering dose or alternate med with prescribing doc. If symptoms occurred before Zoloft (sertraline) generic, see your pcp to get checked for medical cause of heartburn.
