No.: If the unprotected sex was truly one day before your period was due, your risk of pregnancy at that time is quite low. You were wise to use ec, however. But using emergency contraception, basically a big dose of hormones, almost always throws off the timing of your next cycle. Ride this out, cycles should return to normal. They are a very effective form of contraception. Why would anyone think they needed emergency contraception in this scenario?
