Would you bleed after taking the abortion pill if they thought you might have a ectopic pregnancy and if you did bleed does that mean it worked?

Any pattern possible: If the abortion pill works you will get bleeding but the bleeding does not necessarily mean it was successful and does not eliminate the possibility of an ectopic. This is why follow up is important to confirm that all is back to normal. ...Read more

Which carries the higher risk of ectopic pregnancy, Skyla IUD or the mini pill taken perfectly?

Which carries the higher risk of ectopic pregnancy, Skyla IUD or the mini pill taken perfectly?

Neither: The IUD increases one's risk for ectopic pregnancy only very very slightly. The mini pill doesn't increase your risk of ectopic. Statistically I wouldn't make a decision based on these 2 forms of birth control vis-v-vis ectopic given how little influence they would have. IUDs are very safe and a lot more effective at preventing pregnancy than the mini-pill. ...Read more

In : In order to become pregnant, either ectopic or intrauterine (normal location of pregnancy) sperm has to be introduced in or near the vagina. There are multiple situations where women have conceived without penetration (penis inside of vagina). Your bleeding and cramping are likely due to the hormonal changes from the pill, which should go away within 3 months of starting the pill. You can take an early pregnancy test to be sure you are not pregnant, however i think it is due to the hormonal changes. Call or see your doctor for further questions or concerns. ...Read more
