Can you tell me for hypertension which drug out of fosinopril, telmisartan, oxenoprolol, felodipine, hydrochlorothiazide, amilord?

Can you tell me for hypertension which drug out of fosinopril, telmisartan, oxenoprolol, felodipine, hydrochlorothiazide, amilord?

BP med?: If the patient has angina, a beta-blocker may be the agent of choice, not necessarily oxenoprolol. If the patient has proteinuria, then either fosinopril (F) or telmisartan (T) would be excellent choices to reduce both the blood pressure. Felodipine and amlodopine can be used and may cause some leg swelling. Hydrochlorthiazide can be effective and causes loss of potassium and magnesium. Go for F. ...Read more

I am just wondering if I should be taking fosinopril for a BP of 122/84?

Maybe: It depends on if your blodo pressure was greater than 140/90 before you started the fosinopril.

If your doctor prescribed it, I would not discontinue it until consulting with them. The reason your BP is 122/84 and controlled maybe because of the fosinopril. ...Read more

I am 46 yrs old and am taking fosinopril and my right testicle has swollen painlessly. What should I do?

Soft or hard mass: Probably nothing to do with the medication. Soft and diffuse enlargement of the testicle is probably fluid around it called a hydrocele. Otherwise it could be an infection or a tumor. These cause a hard or tender testicle. ...Read more

I take metoprolol, fosinopril, and diltiazem. What is my doctor thinking?

I take metoprolol, fosinopril, and diltiazem. What is my doctor thinking?

Hypertension: It would be best if you ask him in a straightforward and unchallenging fashion. Those are excellent medications for the treatment of hypertension. The combination implies you have important high blood pressure. 2 of them could be combined into generic Lotrel (amlodipine and benazepril) & so you could be on 2 instead of 3 medicines. Further history (and physical and lab) would tell us a lot more about you. Hrs www. Thepmc. Org. ...Read more

Pt. F/68 with bleeding gum after dental cleaning. It's been bleeding for 17hours. She's on plavix, monopril (fosinopril) anddigoxin.

Bleeding gums: Plavix (clopidogrel) will increase the chance of bleeding following surgical procedures and deep cleanings. Since we cannot know her full medical and dental history as well as periodontal condition (bone loss, pocketing, etc) we can't really comment beyond that. She should notify the dentist who actually treated her for advice. ...Read more

What is best pain medication?

What is best pain medication?

There are none...: Even the strongest opiates only "take the edge off" for people in chronic pain. Meds are only one part of dealing with the pain. A useful tool, but pain is so necessary for survival that we are not "allowed" to monkey with it much. In acute pain, the transition from miserable to less miserable can be great. In chronic pain, it's just part of the plan. ...Read more
