Don't douche!: You probably have something other than yeast; or you yeast plus something else. Yeast causes little vaginal discharge, white and thick, not colored. Discharge like yours suggests another infection, like an STD (gonorrhea, chlamydia, trichomonas). Vaginal douching always is unhealthy and especially dangerous in presence of STD or other infection (flushes infection into uterus and tubes). ...Read more

I just used Monistat 1, (tioconazole) placed the ovule in about 9am. I went to the bathroom 2 hrs later and some of it came out. Do I need to get another dose?

YES/NO: This is a problem with the Ovules, You may had noticed that it's recommend that you insert it before bed when you're laying down. Even then, it can plop out before completely dissolved if you use the bathroom. It takes 2-3 days for the symptoms to resolve. If you think you can wait, get another if you still have symptoms. Not sure what is: Normal packaging for that product. Ask the store where you bought it, or check to see if company has a phone number on the box that you could call and ask them what is normal pakaging. It could have been an innocent error in packaging at the factory. ...Read more

Itching discharge?: If the thick white vaginal discharge is not itching or has an odor then if there was an infection it has been resolved. It is never recommended to douche as this can exacerbate any vaginal problems by removing good bacteria. ...Read more

It takes 5to7Days: It takes anywhere from 7 days to take full affect. If not start feeling better in couple of days. Then it is better to see your Doctor or Gynecologist as it may be resitant to monistat or it is something else Even though the resistance to Miconazole which is in Monistat is less common but still possible.
