Likely yes: A lot of people with seb derm respond to topical steroids for the redness. However, Betamethasone is a potent steroid and a lot more than i would recommend using on your face. NO!!!!: This is a steroid, and while a steroid cream will hide your symptoms and take the itch away, it does nothing to kill or treat the fungus! try using an otc anti-fungal cream like lotrimin, Lamisil or tinactin (tolnaftate) 2x/day for at least 30 days.
