Mole Came Back
I picked on a mole till there was a wound and now the wound got better but the mole came back abit difrent in the scrape. Will the mole heal the same?
The scrape healed my mole came back a bit darker yesterday the top half kinda dissapeared the other half will also go back to the orginal mole right?
Maybe not: The scrape disrupted the integrity of the skin of the mole. Depending on the depth of the injury and what was disturbed will decide how the mole looks when it reappears. ...Read more
I scraped my mole yhe mole came back darker it was getting lighter ams browner until I scratched it will it go back brown again?
Schedule an exam: What happens as the mole heals is hard to predict. It probably has more to do with your skin tone and propensity for healing than anything else. Visit your doctor for any of the following: Asymmetric moles, have irregular Borders, have varying Color, are larger in Diameter than a pencil eraser, or are Elevated above the level of the surrounding skin. These are the ABCDEs of moles. ...Read more
I scraped my mole a month ago and now the scrape healed but there is a little redness and the mole came back a bit darker will my mole go to its orgin?
It may: A mole or nevus is a benign skin growth that can easily be removed in the office with local anesthesia. Depending on the depth of the lesion and the technique used for removal, the mole may return if not removed completely. As the growth is benign this occurrence is not alarming. You can have your doctor take a look at the area if you are concerned. A biopsy can easily be performed to be sure. ...Read more

Changing mole??: Early melanoma has no symptoms. The danger signals to keep in mind is to note any changes in your mole. The changes may be in the form of enlargement, or mixture of colors(Most moles are pigmented and appear as, tan, brown or black). Mole came back as compound nevus with congenital features. It was a scallop biopsy and the mole regrew in places within 2 months. Dr wasn't concerned and said it's normal to see this. Should I worry?
Compuond nevus, : You have a recurrent nevus. If the diagnosis was compound nevus with congenital features you should not worry. As long as there was not any dysplasia. However pathologic interpretation of a reexcised recurrent nevus can be problematic so if you were to get the regrowth excised be certain the pathologist knows that this is a recurrent lesion after a shave biopsy. ...Read more
My dermatologist removed a small dark mole from my breast. It was clarks, benign. The mole came back, still very small and much lighter? Is normal?
Recurrent mole: If you had partial excision of the mole and it was benign then you don't need to worry and just monitor the lesion but if you have developed a new mole in the same location, I would recommend further excision by a plastic surgeon and having the tissue examined by a dermatopathologist. ...Read more

I had a mole removed that came back abnormal junctional nevus". I'm going to get more skin around the site removed, mwhat dows this mean?
What is abnormal?: Junctional nevus is a benign lesion. Ask your doctor what "abnormal" means, because that's a very vague diagnosis. The pathologist may have seen something in the specimen that s/he wasn't absolutely sure about, but s/he should be much more specific than "abnormal", and your doctor should explain why more tissue needs to be removed from a benign lesion. ...Read more
I had a mole removed that came back as junctional nevus I have to go back for more skin around the site removed what does this mean be it probsble mel?
No.: Junctional nevus is a benign lesion. Ask your doctor why more tissue needs to be removed. It may be because the pathologist saw something in the specimen that he wasn't absolutely sure was benign, or there may be another reason. You have a right to know. ...Read more
I'm 26 weeks pregnant & just found out I have a basal cell skin cancer. Do I need to be concerned? Had a mole biopsied that came back as basal cell.
See dermatologist: Basal cell cancers tend to grow fairly slowly so delaying treatment until after your pregnancy may be ok. But it really depends on where it is and how extensive it is and what kind of basal cell cancer it is. You might be able to have it removed under local anesthesia especially in the second trimester. You should talk to a dermatologist to go over the options. ...Read more
