Miscarriage Statistics By Week
Miscarried at 5 1/2 weeks. Do I have to wait three months before trying again or could i start again at anytime sense it was fairly early on?
Anytime: There's no data to show that waiting three months has an effect on next pregnancy. Eat healthy, get 7-8 hours of sleep a night, be at a healthy weight and exercise are the best ways to make sure you're in good shape to get pregnant again. I typically tell patients to wait at least one menstrual cycle, but again, there's no evidence that you need to wait. Fingers crossed for you! ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

I am 30 years old and I want to have children now. Over the last 2 years I have had 3 miscarriages all in between 8 and 11 weeks. Please give advice! ?
Recurrent Miscarriag: You have a problem called recurent pregnancy loss (rpl). Rpl is frustrating because about 50% of couples have unexplained causes. You should get some testing. Tests can be costly and treatments are not always any better than just trying again (success is likely 70%). You need to see a fertility specialist to get a better complete explanation. Best wishes. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
There may be a tests: That can help you understand why these tragedies have happened. Who can help? First, your primary care provider should be your main ally. An obstetrician who specializes in high-risk pregnancies, called a perinatologist or maternal-fetal medicine specialist, might be a good addition to your team. You may have already had some tests, e.g., clotting factors, but i would add chromosome testing, also. ...Read more
Why do I keep having early miscarriages? I have had two. The second was at five and a half weeks along. What could this mean?
See a REI specialist: You still have a chance of a healthy pregnancy 'on your own', but after 2 or more miscarriages we do tests to find out why. Possible causes include autoimmune conditions like antiphospholipid antibodies, blood clotting disorders, low egg supply, problems in the uterus like fibroids or a uterine septum, hormonal problems, or male or female genetic problems. Get checked out by a rei specialist. ...Read more
I have had 3 miscarriages, all with the same person.. The first i made it 12 weeks and the other two weren't as far along... What is wrong?
Doctor can evaluate: An ob-gyn doctor can evaluate to see why one is getting miscarriages. Sometimes it is just bad luck, but other times there are genetic problems in either parent (leading to genetic problems in the fetus), anatomical problems in the uterus, hormonal problems, auto-immune disorders, etc... ...Read more

Had 2 miscarriages both less than 6 weeks in a space of 2 years,i do not have children yet, what could be the problem, when can we try again for a baby?
Sorry for your loss.: Often there is no explanation for miscarriage, and to have two is sad, but does support that you are able to get pregnant. I recommend consulting a gynecologist who specializes in high risk pregnancies for a full exam, and then you can try to get pregnant anytime you feel emotionally ready, as long as you remain under doctor care. Some women need progesterone support in early pregnancy. ...Read more
