Miralax Dosage For 3 Year Old
My 3 year olds pediatrician recommended a stimulant laxative to relieve constipation.Still pooping 3 days later?
That's the: PROBLEM with so called "stimulant" laxatives and in fact ALL laxatives. MY OPINION ONLY THERE IS NO PLACE FOR LAXATIVE USE IN CHILDREN! Increasing FLUID INTAKE, FRuITS such as PRUNES, PEARS, APRICOTS should be used! NOTE I AM NOT a PEDIATRICIAN thus I BOW to his/her treatment...the continued pooping is "to be expected" Dr Z ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
3 1/2 yr old with constipation...Is miralax (polyethylene glycol) safe? If so, what is recommended dosage?
My daughter has taken hydroxyzine 10 years (from 3 months old to now at 10 years) daily. What are long term effects
Cardiac: There is some evidence that hydroxyzine may not be food for the cardiovascular system but the incidence is very low. Overall , it is still a very safe drug. On the other hand, what is the reason for her to be on this medication. Perhaps after 10 years , it may be worthwhile to try stopping the drug and see if she still needs it. ...Read more
3 year old daughter hsd rectal relapse. Has some constipation issues. Taking miralex for 3 days. How to proceed what to expect?
Miralax (polyethylene glycol): I would start with a 1/2 of a capful of the MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol) (1/2 of the 17gram dose) in 8 ounces of fluid once a day. If that doesn't work after a few days, you may need to increase the dose (either give 1 capful or give the 1/2 capful dose twice a day). If you get too much response- very watery stools >4/day, back down to the lowest dose that seems to help. ...Read more

Dosage of Bromfed (brompheniramine) for 14 lb infant? Ped prescribed my 10 month old Bromfed (brompheniramine) for her cough: dose is 1/2 tspn/4hrs. Def not the right dose for her.
See below: Per fda recs, no otc meds for kids under 4 year old let alone under 1 year of age! and as per these meds for your infant, i can't understand why your doc would do this period! cough meds are not beneficial especially in and infant and can, in fact, cause problems like increase the risk of developing a pneumonia. Not ideal: It is far healthier to consume omega-3s from a natural source such as wild salmon than from fish oil or synthetic forms. The question is why are you taking this supplement in the first place? To reduce cholesterol? Anti-inflammatory? Anti-coagulant? Brain health? Whatever the reason, wild pacific salmon is still preferable. Don't buy into the hype that the pills are nearly as beneficial. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
