Miralax Bowel Prep Colonoscopy
I have a colonoscopy tomorrow. I took my bowel prep of about an hour ago. In how much time will it start working? Will a gatorade/miralax mix not work?

Miralax is an excellent laxative but if only one dose is taken, it is not likely to clean the colon out as well as is optimal for colonoscopy. A single dose might not produce a bm for a day or 2. Gatorade is an electrolyte-rich drink but not likely as effective as GoLytely or other polyethylene glycol solutions. ...Read moreSee 3 more doctor answers
