Probably: If you are taking a combined estrogen/progesterone pill, and took all of the first 7 pills on time, the you will likely be ok. Unless you miss 3 pills of combined pills you shouldn't need back up contraception or Plan B. Was my COC considered late? Took it just an hour later than scheduled. (First late pill in 4 pill packs + sex w/o condom). Am I at risk for preg?
An hour is ok: If a woman is protected when taking her pills at, for example 5:00, she has the same protection when taking her pills at 4:00 or at 6:00 (an hour earlier or later) on other days. If she is not protected, for OTHER reasons such as missing pills earlier in the pack, then she is still not protected. Yes normal: Sometimes it can take a few months for a cycle to regulate with the birth control pill. Typically by the third pack you're body's adjusted.
