Eye and Gait symptom: Miller-fisher syndrome is a limited variant of guilliane-barre syndrome, and involves weakness of the eye muscles resulting in double vision, dilated pupils, drooping eye lids, and abnormal gait and clumsiness in hands. Weakness of the muscles in the face, throat and tongue result in difficulty swallowing foods, slurred speech, difficulty with smiling, inability to whistle or close the lips. ...Read more

Yes: Ivig or gamma globulin after and/orhemofiltration along with supportive care for the miller fisher variant of guillain barre syndrome are the treatments often used in the icu. This takes a long time to get over and will require physical therapy and rehab most likely. Some patients do not make a full recovery. Good luck! i hope your loved one is better soon. ...Read more

Potentially yes..: Marfan syndrome is a disorder of the connective tissues which strengthen the body--medically, it affects the skeletal (weaker tissues, joints, flatfeet etc) , cardiovascular (dilated aortic root, valve trouble etc..), eye (cataract/lense dislocation), and skin systems.
