I have been having a discharge that is sometimes watery, milky, or paste-like depending on the time of month. It sometimes has an odor. Is this normal?
Bacterial vaginosis?: This probably isn't normal. The most common cause of increased vaginal discharge with strong odor (often "fishy") is bacterial vaginosis, and "milky" discharge also is typical. BV is an overgrowth of mostly normal bacteria. Trichomonas, an STD, can cause the same symptoms. In any case, this should be easy to diagnose and treat; see your doctor.
