I usually drink a glass of milk or small cereal before bed. Is this causing acid reflux? If i don't eat before bed i can't sleep. Dairy helps the burn

Not necessarily: I am not aware of any scientific reasons behind drinking milk before going to bed. In general drinking any liquids before going to bed may make you have to get up in the middle of the night to urinate which would disrupt your sleep. So i usually don't recommend drinking any liquids up to two hours before going to bed so you get enough sleep and don't have any disruption. ...Read more

Am taking Niaspan (niacin). The insert says to take with a low fat snack before bed. I normally eat 1.5 cups of nuts before bed, this is fats. Is it problem?
May not be an issue: the recent data on niaspan was not great,. The drug did not significantly reduce mortality or morbidity.
