Cold&mild fever.Took Tylenol,4 hours later,I would not stop sweating.BP dropped really low idk ifmachine was false err from panic.Sepsis?BPnorm now.28

Not sepsis: Often times the presence of sweating is the sign of the fever "breaking". BP changes for various reasons but panic will usually cause increase in blood pressure. Surely sepsis will cause low BP but sepsis is a "hospital diagnosis" …you wouldn't be asking questions via the internet if you were septic. Hope this helps ...Read more

You sound quite ill: The symptoms you list are not good to hear. I'd urge you to get to a medical facility ASAP. Have a trustworthy, competent person be w/ you to get you safely to help or call 911 if you're alone. BP under 60 is too low - 28 is deathly dangerous! Don't wait! I hope you do okay. ...Read more

See below: It is very unlikely HIV would cause symptoms the day after exposure. Antibody test may be positive as soon as 3 weeks after exposure, but a negative result does not rule infection as it may rarely take a year for antibody test to be positive, HIV nucleic acid test, if negative at 4 months after exposure would essentially rule out HIV. ...Read more

Low: Your symptoms do not raise lymphoma as a very high probability. Even w/ many - they have other causes too. Consider CBT pscyhotherapy to learn how to deal w/ medical anxiety. It's not easy to find balance between ignoring symptoms and being captive to them. But it is possible and will help. Here's some info: http://lymphoma.about.com/od/symptoms/tp/warningsigns.htm Have an exam and relax. ...Read more

Fever up to 103.5, sore throat, dry cough, congestion, white post nasal drip, mild chest discomfort, headache, sweats and chills. Can it be flu?

Viral?: Since it is not the flu season yet (unless you live in the Southern hemisphere) , this is most likely a viral infection. However the temp of 103.5 is worrisome and thus one must rule out pneumonia. I think it is time to see your doctor. ...Read more
